Version 1.2 Update

The first phase of the Contextual Backlink 1.2 Update is now ready, and I’m pleased to say that everything should now be back to normal, and the new features are starting to come online! I aim to put the final phase of the update online during the final week of April, where we’ll start introducing the Niche blogs to the network (More details below, and info needed!).

So to outline some of the New Updates, here’s a brief changelog – some areas still aren’t quite active or as they should be, but these will be outlined below too!

CB Version 1.2 Update

Added – Post Editing – Members can now edit their posts prior to publishing
Added – Post Projects – Members can now create projects for their posts and campaigns
Added – Post Export – Members can now export all their created posts in TXT or CSV format **
Added – Link Balancing – Members now have access to 40 Additional Backlinking services, which can be tied into current campaigns/projects or run separately, can be tiered, and offer fully verified reporting of every link created **

Updated – Website – New Design and Layout
Updated – Posting System – Post submission system Redesigned and Updated
Updated – Member Post Management – Redesign and additional options for Post Management
Updated – Membership Upgrade System – Now available in Member Profile area

**Post Export – This isn’t quite active, having a few bugs with the exported content – will add it this week and take feedback from Members as to what fields they need.
**Link Balancing – This also isn’t quite active yet, but should be by the weekend, subject to some successful testing.

Still to Come – Niche Blogs introduced to CB Network (End of April)
Still to Come – Further Updates to Member Post Management (Feedback needed, options include Manual Posting, Tiered Posting, TextBroker.com API, Writer Nomintations)

I’m going to need some more feedback from Members on how you’d all like the Niche Blogs to operate, and what would be most advantageous to you all.
Right now, I’m looking at the following areas:

1. Number of Outbound Links per Blog – What would be the maximum Homepage ObL’s you’d like to see on these Niche Blogs.

2. Images/Videos in posts – Should they be compulsory?

3. Minumum Word Count – Our minimum word count is presently 150 words, but it’s been suggested that this should be increased to 250 words, with a maximum of 1 link per 250 words instead. For PLUS members this would entail a small price increase for the extra writing.

4. Authority Links – Again, should these be compulsory with longer posts?

And finally, something else I’ve been working on recently that I’m looking to gauge interest on -

Private Networks for Members

With the new update in place, ContextualBacklink.com now has the capability to run private networks for Members! I’ll be posting more news on this in the next few days, but in a nutshell we’ll soon be providing options for Members to set up their own Private Network of blogs. These small networks will be designed as the ultimate ‘buffer’ sites, with full post management and content control for every blog, dedicated to your sites only, whilst supplied with regular content by our writers.
Again I’m looking for some feedback on this from interested members, and suggestions and ideas on what you’d like to see.
It will be an additional service, either working off a ratio of post/writing tokens, or as a new separate Membership option, so in no way will be compulsory for anyone!

Thanks for taking the time to read this, and I’ve added a small feedback box at the bottom of the post here – I’d love to hear your thoughts and/or criticism, and do use it to shape the future of CB!

Hello Everyone,
I know it’s been a while since the last update, but a lot has been going on behind the scenes, due in part to the recent update that Google has made toward blog networks.

As some of you will no doubt be aware, Google have recently begun targeting certain blog networks and de-indexing their sites. Luckily, ContextualBacklink.com is not one of the networks that has been targeted, and I’d like to think it’s due to the work we’ve put in to keep our blog footprints to a minimum and insisting upon high quality content from our members.

One disturbing development however, is that Google now seem to be specifically targeting websites that have an overly high number of incoming Pagerank Backlinks only, and penalizing them for it.

This Google update fundamentally affects how Homepage Pagerank blog networks operate, and means we’re going to need to make some serious changes in the way we work and the service we provide.

Enter ContextualBacklink.com Version 1.2

The focus of 1.2 will Niche rather than Pagerank.
The first and biggest change that we’re going to have to make is introducing PR0 and PRNA domains/blogs in to the network. As Google are tracking pure Pagerank links to your websites, balancing them out with these non-pagerank links is going to be essential over the coming months.
These PR0 and PRNA domains/blogs will be as diverse in age as possible, with their aim being to dilute the pure Pagerank links that we normally offer, and introduce a far more natural balance to your Link to Pagerank-Link ratio. Eventually, I hope they will negate the need for Pagerank blogs completely, but I’ll explain more about that below!

One new focus that these blogs will introduce is ‘Targeted Niche Posting’, and also what I hope will be a new aspect to ContextualBacklink.com – ‘Long-Term Authority Building’.
We’re going to have a greater scope to add Niche Keyword Domains to our network, which will be focused on the 12 current categories we use for Posting. Instead of adding your Posts to Categories on random PR blogs, we’ll now be posting your content to Niche Category Domain Blogs, that will only contain content relating directly to your Niche.

Currently
Your Post —–> Random Pagerank Blog —> Your Category/Your Post

Version 1.2
Your Post —–> Your Category Niche Blog —-> Your Post

This brings in the second aspect I mentioned, ‘Long-Term Authority Building’. As you can see, these new blogs will be highly focused niche sites, and with some additional targeted SEO over time will gain Authority and Natural Pagerank. This will make the Backlinks they contain incredibly powerful and valuable, far more so than the general Pagerank links we presently provide.

I fully appreciate that these 1.2 changes won’t be liked by everyone, and as such they won’t be implemented until the middle/end of April. I’ll be honoring all memberships as they stand in the mean time, and If any member chooses to let their membership expire because of the 1.2 changes, I guarantee that your posts will remain on the Homepage of the blogs that they’ve been submitted to, rather than slipping off eventually as they normally would.

If you’re happy to stay though, you don’t need to do anything! In fact, all members will be receiving an additional 10% of their posting tokens from their next renewal!

I really believe that the changes we’re making with version 1.2 will counter the current Google Update, and will set ContextualBacklink.com in a new direction that ensures its longevity whilst maintaining the value that it provides.

As always, I’d love to hear your ideas and feedback on our planned version 1.2 changes, so feel free to contact me via email or live support!

Thanks, Rik.

–Update:
So great feedback from Members so far, thanks so much for taking the time to let me know what you think! Everything mentioned has generally been positive, and there have been some great ideas too which I’ll mention below to add to the coversation.

1. It’s been suggested that we include Negative Keyword options for the post writing requests, so I’ll be adding that with or before the 1.2 update.

2. I’ve also been asked about the Categories that the new Niche blogs will be using, and if more can be added. For now the answer is Yes, I am able to add more Categories if you need a new one, and I also think I’ll be modifying some that I’ve already selected due to current member needs (We don’t presently have any members posting in the Automotive niche for example).

If you have any other ideas of features you’d like to see do let me know, and I’ll do my best to get it added to the version 1.2 update!

I’m currently testing a new ‘Writers Module’ that I’ve developed for the Contextual Backlink system, which will allow members to nominate and invite Guest Writers to the network, allowing them to write posts on their behalf!

Certain details of the process are still to be finalized, but as it stands Members will soon be allowed to add a number of ‘Guest Writer’ child accounts to their main Memberships. These child accounts will be allowed free access to portions of Contextual Backlink, and will have the ability to post on behalf of the Member only.

As mentioned, certain features are still to be finalized (such as the number of child accounts available to each member) and fully tested, so I’ll keep you updated!

I’d also love to hear suggestions from members as to other new features you’d like to see with Contextual Backlink, so feel free to send me a message via live support or the contact form!

All of the Blogs on the Contextual Backlink Premium Network are hosted on Unique Class A, B or C IP addresses to reduce footprints and ensure you receive High Value Backlinks from Unique Sources.

An IP Address is made up of 4 sets of 3 numbers, each of the value 0-255 – For example 192.168.0.1 – You’ll have no doubt seen and used them many times before. Each of these 4 sets are known as ‘classes’, and indicate which set of numbers we’re talking about – 192.168.0.1 or A.B.C.

So for example, if we say we’re only using Unique Class-A IP addresses for our blogs, this would mean the first number in the IP address would be different and unique – 192.168.0.1 – 233.168.0.1 – 155.168.0.1 – 72.168.0.1 etc. – There are around 16 million different possibilities with an Class-A IP range.

With Class-B IP ranges, the second set of numbers change – 192.168.0.1 – 192.233.0.1 – 192.155.0.1 – 192.72.0.1 – Each Class-B range has around 65,000 addresses.

Class-C IP Addresses have the least possibilities, with only 254 permutations in each range. 192.168.0.1 – 192.168.233.1 – 192.168.155.1 – 192.168.72.1.

All the Backlinks and Posts received from our Members are Manually Scheduled for distribution to the Contextual Backlink Blog Network by our Staff to ensure they appear Natural and Organic to Search Engines.

To add a new backlink/post, the Members of the Contextual Backlink Premium Blog Network simply add a title, a category, the content of their post (including their Contextual Backlink), and some keywords. Their new post is then sent through to our staff for approval and distribution scheduling, ensuring your backlinks ‘drip feed’ to the blogs over time.

Once your Backlink has finished submission and has been indexed, we also provide further Hands Free Backlinking to build additional links to your post, via social networks, social bookmarking, directories, comments and forums. In the end, every post you submit will receive an additional 50-60 backlinks!
